CHARLOTTE, N.C. — With Suicide Prevention Month approaching in September, Wounded Warrior Project is raising awareness about veteran suicide and the importance of connecting veterans with support and resources.

A veteran and a suicide prevention manager with Wounded Warrior Project joined WCCB Rising to discuss the challanges veterans can face and the role friends, family members and communities can play in suicide prevention.

Wounded Warrior Project provides free programs and services to veterans and their families, including mental health support, peer connection, physical wellness and financial assistance.
