Andover Mind is calling on local residents, businesses and organisations to show their support for better mental health as World Mental Health Day approaches.
Taking place on Saturday 10 October, World Mental Health Day provides an opportunity to raise awareness of mental health, encourage conversations and highlight the support available to people who may be struggling.
This year, Andover Mind is encouraging the local community to get behind the charity by sharing its World Mental Health Day campaign across social media and helping spread the word about the services available locally.
Andover Mind provides vital mental health and wellbeing support primarily across Andover, alongside its wellbeing centres in Basingstoke and Aldershot, supporting communities across Hampshire and surrounding areas.
Its services include wellbeing courses and groups, one-to-one counselling sessions, crisis support through Safe Haven, Adult Autism and ADHD Community Hubs and a range of volunteering opportunities.
With one in four people experiencing a mental health problem each year, the charity says raising awareness of the support available within local communities remains incredibly important.
Andover Mind’s focus is on supporting local people with their mental health when they need it most, with services based at the heart of the communities they serve.
Ahead of World Mental Health Day, the charity has produced a range of social media assets which individuals, businesses and organisations can share across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
Supporters are being encouraged to post the graphics, share information about Andover Mind’s work and tag @andovermind to help create a wave of local support on Saturday.
The campaign also provides an opportunity for local businesses and organisations to publicly show their support for mental health and help ensure more people know where they can turn if they need help.
Anyone wishing to support Andover Mind further can also fundraise for the charity, helping it continue its work supporting better mental health across Andover and the wider Hampshire area.
More information about Andover Mind, its services and ways to get involved can be found at andovermind.org.uk. Anyone interested in fundraising can contact fundraising@andovermind.org.uk.
World Mental Health Day takes place on Saturday 10 October 2026.
