    The initiative is designed to accelerate the deployment of assistive technologies for persons with disabilities and improve accessibility and inclusion.Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India, has partnered with AssisTech Foundation (ATF) to launch Samarth UnnATi, an assistive technology (AT) start-up scale-up programme that will provide ₹75 lakh in grant support to help promising start-ups commercialise and expand innovative accessibility solutions.

    The programme, launched under Hyundai’s ‘Samarth by Hyundai’ initiative, aims to strengthen India’s assistive technology ecosystem by supporting market-ready and revenue-generating start-ups through mentorship, capacity building, investor linkages, ecosystem partnerships and market access. The initiative is designed to accelerate the deployment of assistive technologies for persons with disabilities and improve accessibility and inclusion.

    Grant support to accelerate assistive-tech innovation

    Under the programme, the ₹75 lakh grant will help start-ups scale their solutions, expand deployment and reach more beneficiaries. In addition to financial support, the initiative will facilitate institutional partnerships and strengthen engagement with disability welfare organisations to build a sustainable ecosystem for assistive technologies.

    Gopalakrishnan CS, Trustee, Hyundai Motor India Foundation, said the initiative reflects Hyundai’s commitment to fostering inclusion by supporting innovators developing solutions to real-world accessibility challenges. Prateek Madhav, CEO and Co-Founder of AssisTech Foundation, said the programme will help bridge the gap between innovation and large-scale deployment as global demand for assistive products continues to rise.

    Hyundai said the initiative aligns with its ‘Progress for Humanity’ vision and seeks to create a more inclusive, barrier-free society by enabling equal opportunities through technology, partnerships and innovation.
