JCI Manila successfully gathered more than 8,000 runners, advocates, partners, and supporters during the recently concluded “Color Run for Mental Health” held on May 31, 2026, at the MOA Opengrounds.

The large-scale advocacy united individuals from different sectors in a vibrant movement promoting mental health awareness, emotional wellness, and community support. Filled with colorful stations, wellness activities, entertainment segments, and advocacy-driven initiatives, the event highlighted the growing importance of creating safe conversations and stronger support systems surrounding mental health.

Beyond the celebration and fitness activities, the Color Run for Mental Health also served a greater purpose. Proceeds and support generated from the event will benefit the Philippine Mental Health Association in support of building a facility that aims to further strengthen mental health awareness, education, and community-based support initiatives for Filipinos.

Under the leadership of President Edison Ke (2026 JCI Manila President) , the initiative reflected JCI Manila’s commitment to creating impactful programs that go beyond leadership and directly contribute to the well-being of communities.

“Mental health awareness continues to be an important conversation in today’s society. Through this event, we wanted to create not only awareness, but also hope, support, and action for those facing mental health challenges,” said President Edison Ke.

The successful event was spearheaded by Project Chairman Anton Laborte together with Vice Chairman Enzo Pineda under the leadership of Director Clifford Aw (2026 JCI Manila Director for Membership Benefits and Partnerships).

The project also showcased the collective efforts of the entire JCI Manila Lead Beyond Board of Directors, whose dedication and collaboration helped turn the advocacy initiative into one of the largest mental health awareness runs organized by a local leadership organization in the country.

The Color Run for Mental Health forms part of JCI Manila’s broader 2026 “Lead Beyond” direction — a commitment to creating programs that go beyond expectations and generate sustainable impact for future generations.

Through programs like the Color Run for Mental Health, JCI Manila continues to go Beyond the Expected by delivering meaningful and relevant initiatives for its members and communities; Beyond the Limit by breaking barriers, expanding partnerships, and creating larger platforms for advocacy; and Beyond the Next Generation by building sustainable programs that create lasting impact for future leaders and future communities.
