An estimated 75 million Americans are set to receive Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits in June. Depending on the type of benefit and the beneficiary’s birthday, here’s when they can expect payment.
June 2026 Social Security and SSI payment schedule
Benefits are paid based on the beneficiary’s date of birth, with a couple exceptions. For those who receive only Social Security:
Recipients born between the 1st and the 10th of each month are paid on the second Wednesday of the month. This group will be paid on June 10.
Recipients born between the 11th and 20th are paid on the third Wednesday. This group will be paid on June 17.
Recipients born between the 21st and 31st are paid on the fourth Wednesday. This group will be paid on June 24.
Beneficiaries who have received Social Security since before May 1997, or who receive both Social Security and SSI are paid on a different schedule. In that case, Social Security is paid on the 3rd of each month, while SSI is paid on the 1st.

Those who receive only SSI benefits will be paid on June 1.
As for July’s schedule, those receiving only SSI will receive two payments that month. After receiving a payment on July 1, they will receive their August payment on July 31, because Aug. 1 falls on a Saturday. Those who receive both Social Security and SSI will still be paid on Aug. 3.
All other August payments will go out under the traditional schedule. All September payments will go out under the traditional schedule.
