Under the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) Work-Study Diploma programme, trainees are hired by participating companies as full-time employees and receive on-the-job training by employers in tandem with classroom training. Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Social and Family Development Eric Chua highlighted this programme in reply to an MP’s question in parliament on Thursday (Feb 26). He also outlined the support provided by SG Enable to ensure that the necessary support arrangements are in place for trainees with disabilities.
