It’s that time of the year again, when the cutest, most spontaneous snapshots that capture the amusing side of nature, compete in a bid to win the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards.

The Nikon sponsored awards just released its finalists for the 2026 competition, featuring 40 individual feel-good finalists.

(Make sure you’re not sipping a drink when surprised by these laugh-out-loud moments.)

This year, the competition received more than 10,000 entries—the highest number in its history from 112 countries.

Photographers are competing for the top prize: a once-in-a-lifetime safari with Alex Walker Serian in the Masai Mara, along with many great camera prizes from Nikon.

Every year, the free competition is open to wildlife photography novices, amateurs, and professionals. Visit their website for details www.comedywildlifephoto.com.

“We use humor to get people to feel empathy towards wildlife—and it’s that empathy that creates behavioral change for the better,” said Competition Co-Founder Tom Sullam.
