    The past few weeks have been some of the hardest many people with disability have experienced in a long time.

    The public debate surrounding proposed reforms to the NDIS has been intense. For some of us, it has been deeply personal. Across social media, in workplaces and around kitchen tables, disabled Australians have once again found ourselves justifying the value of our lives, our support needs and our place in society.

    As someone who recently gave evidence to the Senate inquiry into the proposed reforms, I have seen firsthand just how strongly people feel.
