Suicide Prevention Awareness Month marked – Scranton Times-Tribune

The Lackawanna County commissioners proclaimed September as Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month to bring to light one of the top 10 leading causes of death in the United States. The county’s Lackawanna-Susquehanna Behavioral Health/Intellectual Disability/Early Intervention Program works with several community agencies to organize educational programs and special events to alert individuals and families of the resources that are available to help.
