Floridians who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) checks will be paid on Monday, June 1. More than five million Floridians, or more than one in every five residents, will receive Social Security benefits on the regular schedule, with the first payments arriving on June 10.

That’s not always the case. SSI, a program to help people with limited or no income or resources, people aged 65 or older, and people who are blind or have a qualifying disability, sends benefits on the first of the month. When that date lands on a holiday or weekday, as it did in January and February, the check goes out on the latest weekday prior.

Social Security benefits, paid mostly to recipients who are older or retired, are typically scheduled to be paid on Wednesdays, based on recipients’ birthdays.

Here’s what to know about the June payment schedule and where to find a Social Security office in Florida.

June 2026 Social Security payment schedule

Social Security benefits are typically paid on Wednesdays, and most people receive their check on one of three Wednesdays each month based on their birth date. In June, that means:

    • Wednesday, June 10: If your birth date is between the first and 10th of the month

    • Wednesday, June 10: If your birth date is between the 11th and 20th of the month

    • Wednesday, June 10:  If your birth date is between the 21st and 31st of the month

People who started getting Social Security before May 1997 follow a different schedule and are paid on the 3rd of each month instead of a Wednesday‑based date.

When will SSI checks be sent early in 2026?

The next time SSI checks will go out early will be on Friday, July 31, since August 1 lands on a Saturday. After that, the schedule will remain normal until November, when the benefit will arrive on Oct. 30.

The first check of 2027 will be sent on New Year’s Eve due to the holiday.

Where can I find a Social Security office in Florida?

There are 52 Social Security offices in Florida. You can find one near you at ssa.gov/locator.

Note that not all offices offer all SSA services.

What do I do if I didn’t get my Social Security check?

If you didn’t get your electronic payment on the scheduled pay date, check your bank, the Social Security Administration said. They may be experiencing a delay in posting it to your account.

If you still need to report a late, missing, or stolen Social Security payment, call the SSA at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778) or contact your local Social Security office. The SSA will review the case, and if the payment is due, they will replace it.

How many people in Florida receive Social Security benefits?

As of December 2025, 5,294,001 people in Florida claimed Social Security benefits, including:

    • Retired workers: 4,191,491

    • Disabled workers: 462,756

    • Widow(ers) and parents: 260,003
