SINGAPORE – The Straits Times is launching a new initiative to help readers navigate their financial decisions and make informed choices in managing their wealth.
As part of the campaign, ST will launch an InvestMe financial literacy website, a series of courses and a new subscription package for readers who want savvy tips at every stage of their life.
The title, which is a short version of the phrase “investing in myself”, underscores the importance of improving one’s financial knowledge because the key to achieving financial freedom is knowing your needs and how to plan to pay for expenses for as long as you live.
ST InvestMe is a 24-month All Digital or All Digital and Print subscription package, which offers weekly curated financial insights and six financial literacy courses led by The Straits Times Invest editorial team.
New subscribers pay $29.90 per month under a 24-month contract.
Meanwhile, existing subscribers can attend all six courses by just recontracting or upgrading to a 24-month All Digital or All Digital and Print subscription package without incurring any penalty for their existing plans.
They will get access to a dedicated InvestMe website that offers practical tips that can help them plan their finances better. The website will also feature columns and articles from ST Invest that are published in the Sunday Times every weekend.
Subscribers will also get exclusive access to face-to-face sessions with the ST Invest Team to get useful financial tips first-hand from the speakers and invited panellists.
This will take place as a series of six events held across 2026 and 2027. Topics include retirement planning, smart investing, financing life goals, expense management and property strategies.
They target anyone from fresh graduates and first-jobbers to those managing family expenses and juggling loans, and readers looking to future-proof their finances.

“It is also about anticipating trying times, such as having the financial ability to nurse you and your family back to health in times of sickness, as well as the foresight to make the best plans for your family.”
He noted that it is not difficult to make such plans if readers know the tips and laws that govern money matters.
Mr Tan will lead the inaugural session on May 16 titled Retire With More Money, which will explore practical ways to achieve financial freedom without necessarily accumulating a large sum of savings.
In the second session on July 18, Senior Business Correspondent Angela Tan will discuss investing wealth beyond markets and returns, with SingCapital chief executive Alfred Chia and Dr David Teo, a senior consultant psychiatrist.
The third session on Sept 17 will be on smarter ways to manage your money, led by ST Senior Correspondent Chor Khieng Yuit, together with Ms Tan Huey Min, general manager of Credit Counselling Singapore, and Mr Leon Loh, financial services consultant at Gen Financial Advisory.
It will look into how to stretch your dollar by spending and borrowing wisely.
The fourth session on Nov 19 will be about financing your dream life, led by ST Business Correspondent Sue-Ann Tan and business journalist Rosalind Ang.
Guests Jason Ang, Syfe senior wealth advisory lead and Ms Sheryl Choong, Endowus Singapore head of client advisory, will look at what it takes to achieve your dream life, and take live questions from the audience on how to meet their financial goals.
In 2027, two more sessions will be held. On Jan 16, Invest Editor Tan Ooi Boon will look into the important rules and changes that real estate investors should know before buying properties.
On March 20, he will host a final session called Rich Or Poor Mindset: A Candid Chat With ST Invest Editor, about having the right attitude to planning your financial future.
The sessions will be held in the auditorium at SPH News Centre at 1000 Toa Payoh North.
