The Family Counselling Center, Wifaq — part of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work — has launched its 2026 Ramadan campaign under the theme ‘Your Awareness Protects Your Home’. The campaign aims to strengthen family stability and promote preventive awareness throughout the holy month.

The initiative aligns with Wifaq’s strategy to use media and community‑based activities to spread positive family values and broaden its impact across society. A central feature of the campaign is a creative digital series that blends light social drama with informative content and expert‑led guidance. The series highlights common challenges within marital relationships and presents practical solutions in an accessible, engaging way.

The campaign is supported by a strong media presence, including television discussions that shed light on its key themes and reinforce its message of promoting family stability and a culture of preventive awareness. These efforts aim to ensure the campaign reaches diverse segments of the community.

As part of its community engagement, Wifaq will host Ramadan Majlis gatherings featuring social, media and family‑relations specialists. The sessions will encourage dialogue on strengthening family cohesion and deepening community partnership to help protect and support the family unit.

Rashid Al Shahwani, Director of the Communication and Media Office at Wifaq, said the campaign represents a new model for family awareness—one that moves beyond traditional formats. He noted that Wifaq has adopted modern media tools to deliver impactful messages rooted in the centre’s scientific and professional expertise, while remaining close to the lived experiences of families.

He added that the campaign seeks to strengthen awareness among spouses, helping protect relationships from misunderstandings and unnecessary conflict. It also warns against relying on unqualified advice from unreliable sources and highlights the importance of sound financial management, healthy communication skills and managing excessive screen time. The campaign further clarifies the role of parents in supporting, rather than interfering with, their children’s family decisions.

Wifaq emphasised that the Ramadan campaign reflects its commitment to supporting families in Qatar and contributing to a cohesive and stable society. The centre aims to empower families through initiatives that promote awareness, resilience and well‑being, in line with its mission to build strong, informed and connected communities.
