Research in Biological Psychiatry: Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroimaging suggests transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) may be useful to support other treatments for depressionJanuary 29, 2026 – Research investigating the effects of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) on individuals with depression and comorbid anxiety reveals a dual impact of this noninvasive form of brain stimulation. Results showed enhanced task engagement and activation of brain regions associated with executive function, but also, unexpectedly, heightened sensitivity to threats. The findings from the study in Biological Psychiatry: Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroimaging, published by Elsevier, suggest that tDCS could be considered as an adjunct (supporting)…

Chef Andrew Zimmern, known for hosting “Bizarre Foods” for 22 seasons on the Travel Channel, understands the power of food as a way to bring people together — perhaps better than anyone. And in his home state of Minnesota, bringing people together has never been more vital. In a recent video, Zimmern shared that he was volunteering at Soup for You Cafe, serving meals to people in need. As intense, violent Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids have multiplied across the state, vulnerable communities are left feeling afraid to leave the house, which in turn, leaves them food insecure.“Food has always been my way…

Faster than ever, the online world pushes entrepreneurs to build sharper tools while moving at full speed. Launching apps, services, or systems? One thing remains clear: fragile code slows everything down. Whether you’re launching a SaaS platform, a mobile app, or an internal business tool, software quality can make or break your growth. This is exactly why AI automation testing in QA is no longer just a technical upgrade. Not magic – just smarter workflows that save time and money. For anyone building tech today, skipping these tools feels less like saving and more like risking too much. Speed matters…
There’s a reason a lot of people end up getting stretched thin financially in retirement. They expect Social Security to cover all of their bills only to discover that their benefits don’t even come close. If you earn an average wage during your working years, you can expect Social Security to replace about 40% of it. This assumes that benefit cuts don’t happen which, frankly, we can’t assume based on the program’s current financial situation. But Social Security cuts aside, most retirees need a lot more than 40% of their former paychecks to stay afloat. So it’s important to set…
Sometimes our circumstances bring up thoughts and emotions that feel too overwhelming and beyond our control. But by improving our emotional intelligence, we can navigate life’s ups and downs with greater balance and perspective. However, when you’re in the midst of gut-wrenching situations, honing your emotional regulation skills doesn’t really make it to your priority list. You just want the pain to stop. Give yourself grace during these difficult moments. It’s okay if your efforts don’t immediately ease the pain. Healing from emotional pain is not linear; it’s normal to experience sadness, anger, and confusion all at once. Breathe…

The awareness holiday has been a target of President Donald Trump’s rollbacks of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs, making it more important than ever to intentionally show up for Black communities.Of course, we don’t need an awareness holiday to embrace and honor Black history, but this month provides an opportunity to reconcile with the past, pave the way for a more just future, and celebrate all the amazing figures who have taken their place in the annals of…
