Since the launch of the National Mental Health and Well-Being Strategy in 2023, the government has rolled out several key initiatives, including expanding the capacity of mental health services across the acute, primary, community and long-term care sectors. More than 160,000 frontline personnel and volunteers have also been trained to identify individuals in mental distress. Senior Minister of State for Health Koh Poh Koon said this in response to an MP’s questions in Parliament on Tuesday (Feb 24).
