2026 Well-being Works Better™ Scorecard highlights organizations leading in workplace health

PALM SPRINGS, CA / ACCESS Newswire / April 1, 2026 / Desert Oasis Healthcare has been awarded Gold recognition from the American Heart Association as part of the 2026 Well-being Works Better™ Scorecard, underscoring the organization’s ongoing commitment to supporting the health and well-being of its employees.

The Well-being Works Better™ Scorecard is built on the American Heart Association’s century-long legacy of advancing health and is designed to help organizations create thriving, supportive workplace environments. Employers are evaluated across a range of categories including mental health, burnout prevention, benefits, and overall workplace culture.

At Desert Oasis Healthcare, employee well-being is seen as essential to delivering exceptional patient care. Through initiatives focused on work-life balance, mental health support, and a culture rooted in purpose, DOHC continues to invest in its workforce-recognizing that healthier employees lead to healthier communities.

“Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and investing in their well-being is a priority we take seriously. This recognition reinforces our commitment to creating a supportive, purpose-driven workplace where our team can thrive,” said Teresa Hodgkins, PharmD BCACP CPHQ Sr VP Value Based Initiatives.

“At the heart of every thriving organization is a workforce that feels valued and supported,” said Nancy Brown, CEO of the American Heart Association. “We’re honored to recognize organizations like Desert Oasis Healthcare that have made employee well-being a cornerstone of their culture.”

The Scorecard provides organizations with benchmarking insights and actionable strategies to continuously improve their workplace health initiatives. DOHC’s Gold-level recognition reflects strong performance across key areas that promote long-term employee engagement, resilience, and overall wellness.
