Recognizing the vital role drivers play in keeping Filipinos moving, inDrive put the spotlight on the people behind the wheel through its Driver Wellness Day, a dedicated initiative designed to support drivers’ health, overall well-being, and livelihood beyond their work on the platform.
inDrive Philippines recently held its Driver Wellness Day, providing drivers access to on-site medical checkups, physical and mental health activities, and livelihood support.
The recently held event brought together inDrive drivers for a day dedicated to their holistic well-being, featuring on-site medical checkups, physical and mental wellness activities, livelihood support, and community engagement.
At the center of the initiative was access to essential healthcare services, giving drivers the opportunity to prioritize their health despite their demanding daily schedules. Participants received physical examinations and doctor consultations, as well as vital-sign assessments covering blood pressure, heart rate, body mass index (BMI), and blood sugar levels.
“Our drivers spend their days making sure that others get where they need to go, so we wanted to create a space where they could take a step back and focus on themselves. Through our Wellness Day, we wanted to remind our drivers that their health, well-being, and livelihood matter to us. By bringing essential health services, wellness activities, and practical resources closer to them, we hope to support them not only on the road but in their everyday lives as well,” said Vanessa Taqueban, Country Driver Operations Lead, inDrive Philippines.
Beyond physical health, drivers also took part in sessions focused on supporting their mental and financial well-being.
Beyond physical healthcare, inDrive also placed emphasis on drivers’ mental and financial well-being. Participants took part in a group Zumba session, while mental health speaker Darwin Magpili conducted a workshop sharing practical insights and guidance on maintaining mental wellness while working on the road.
A dedicated livelihood workshop also equipped drivers with useful information and resources about financial and livelihood opportunities, recognizing that meaningful support for the driver community extends beyond their daily trips and includes helping them address their broader needs.
The event also provided drivers with an opportunity to relax, have fun, and strengthen their connections with the wider inDrive community. Alongside interactive games and activities featuring mini-prizes, the company organized a mobile phone raffle, giving selected participants the chance to take home a new device.
Adding to the occasion was the presence of Sidd Mantri, Chief Product Officer of inDrive, who shared the company’s product vision and strategic direction for the Philippine market, including key product developments.
Through its Driver Wellness Day, inDrive reaffirmed its commitment to supporting drivers beyond the platform. By bringing together healthcare services, wellness education, livelihood resources, and community-building activities, the initiative provided drivers with a dedicated space to look after themselves, connect with fellow drivers, and feel valued for their important contribution to keeping communities moving.
