Jalgaon: Stress Management Vital To Combat Mental Fatigue, Says Dr Rupali Dixit |

Jalgaon: Constant overthinking can lead to mental fatigue and affect a person’s overall well-being. Managing stress and maintaining a positive outlook are important to stay mentally and physically healthy, said Dr Rupali Dixit of the Government Hospital.

She was speaking at a health awareness programme organised by the NSS department of Dr Bendale College for female students on Saturday. The session focused on HIV/AIDS awareness, haemoglobin deficiency, nutrition and health issues commonly faced by young women.

Dr Dixit said low haemoglobin levels can also affect women’s mental and physical health. She explained the causes and effects of anaemia and stressed the importance of a balanced diet and proper nutrition.

Speaking about mental health, she said repeatedly dwelling on the same thoughts can increase stress and cause mental exhaustion. She advised students to develop healthy ways of managing stress and maintain a positive approach in their daily lives.

Manisha Wankhede spoke about HIV/AIDS, covering its causes, prevention and common misconceptions. She stressed the need for greater awareness to prevent the spread of misinformation.

Nishigandha Bagul discussed health concerns faced by young women and explained common symptoms that should not be ignored. She urged students to maintain personal hygiene, follow a nutritious diet and seek medical advice when required. She also highlighted the importance of regular health check-ups.

The students actively participated in the session and raised questions on various health and mental well-being concerns. The programme received a good response from the students.

Dr Satyajit Salve, Dr P N Tayade and Junior College Vice-Principal N G Bavaskar were present on the occasion. Dr Vinod Nannavare, Prof Rajesh Koshti and Prof Noori Tadvi assisted in organising the programme. Dr Monali Khachne conducted the proceedings, while Dr Harshali Patil proposed the vote of thanks.
