D’Bio Wellness & Selfcare Hub will bring together policymakers, healthcare professionals, researchers, wellness advocates, innovators and other stakeholders in Lagos for the third edition of its Wellness & Selfcare Summit, with a call for greater investment in self-care as a key component of a resilient healthcare system.
The two-day summit, scheduled for September 8 and 9, 2026, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, will be held under the theme, “The Selfcare Ecosystem: Connecting the Pillars of Health.”
The event is expected to provide a platform for stakeholders to examine practical ways of strengthening self-care, preventive healthcare and health promotion, while empowering individuals and communities to take greater responsibility for their wellbeing.
According to the organisers, discussions at the summit will focus on the interconnected dimensions of wellbeing, including physical, mental, emotional, social, environmental, occupational, financial and spiritual health. His Royal Majesty, Igwe Alexander Onyido, will chair the summit while Fellow PSN, Olayinka Subair, is expected to deliver the keynote address.
Founder, D’Bio Wellness & Selfcare Hub and convener of the summit, Dr. Monica Eimunjeze, said the organisation was committed to promoting a sustainable culture of self-care through education, advocacy, innovation and strategic partnerships.
She said, “Selfcare is not a luxury; it is a necessity for healthier individuals, stronger families, productive workplaces, and resilient communities.”
Eimunjeze added that the summit and the awareness campaign preceding it were designed to bring diverse voices and expertise together to build a culture of self-care capable of improving health outcomes.
She urged government institutions, private organisations, healthcare professionals, students, the media and the general public to participate in the initiative.
The summit will feature panel discussions, interactive learning sessions, exhibitions, networking and experience-sharing forums aimed at developing practical solutions for individuals, institutions and communities.
Ahead of the summit, the organisers have also launched a one-month creative mental wellness campaign, “Expression Phase”, designed to encourage conversations around emotional wellbeing through music and other forms of creative expression.
The campaign invites rappers, singers, spoken-word artists, poets and other creatives to express their experiences through the open verse of an official theme song, providing a platform for conversations around struggles, grief, addiction, pain and other lived experiences.
D’Bio Wellness & Selfcare Hub powers the campaign in partnership with Playmode Music, Trace TV, Swypatune and Paparazi Visibility Concepts.
The organisers said the initiative goes beyond awareness, describing it as “a call to care, a call to listen and a call to express.”
