The Philomath Rotary Club plans to meet at noon Tuesday at Peace Lutheran Church for a club assembly meeting featuring a presentation on suicide awareness and prevention. All Rotarians and community members are welcome to attend.

The gathering will open with introductions and announcements before turning to the main presentation, “Suicide Awareness and Prevention,” led by Avalon Mason, Benton County Public Health’s Mental Health Promotion and Prevention coordinator.

Mason’s presentation is intended to increase awareness of how prevalent suicide is in the community and to build attendees’ confidence in supporting people who may be experiencing thoughts of suicide.

Lunch will be provided for attendees. Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP to the meeting invitation or any Philomath Rotarian to help organizers plan for the appropriate number of meals.

Peace Lutheran Church is located at 2540 Applegate St.
