    Wayne/Pike Suicide Prevention Walk set for Sept. 26

    Wayne/Pike Suicide Prevention Walk set for Sept. 26

    The Wayne/Pike Northeast Suicide Prevention Initiative will host its annual suicide prevention walk Sept. 26 at Wallenpaupack Area High School in Palmyra Twp., officials said.

    The event provides an opportunity to share grief and honor loved ones, raise suicide prevention awareness, raise funds for local suicide prevention programs, and learn about local community resources in Wayne and Pike counties, officials said.

    Gates open at 10:30 a.m., with a program starting at 11. An optional walk will follow the program. No pets will be allowed. The event is free and open to the public, and no is registration required.

    The event will feature stories of lived experience, a remembrance wall, light refreshments, raffle baskets and local community resources, officials said. All donations will stay in Wayne and Pike counties.
