The second annual lemonade stand in honor of Mason an Erie man who died by suicide nearly five years ago will be held on August 8 between 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at 1017 Grace Street.

The event is designed to raise awareness about mental health struggles and generate support for suicide prevention initiatives.

Funds raised from the lemonade stand will benefit the upcoming Out of the Darkness Walk, which is scheduled for September 19 at Presque Isle. The walk brings together community members to support those affected by suicide and promote awareness of mental health resources.

For Brianna the organizer and friend of Mason, the fundraiser is about more than raising money. It is an opportunity to honor Mason’s memory while encouraging open conversations about mental health and reminding others that help is available.

The event invites community members to stop by, enjoy a refreshing drink, and support a cause that affects countless families. Organizers hope the fundraiser will help spread a message of compassion, healing, and hope for those struggling with mental health challenges.

Anyone experiencing emotional distress or thoughts of suicide can call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, for free and confidential support 24 hours a day.
