Summer is nearly over, and August is just around the corner. The pivot into a new month signals the issuance of Social Security Administration (SSA) benefits, but many waiting Texans will receive their funds on a different date than usual.
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments will not go out next month. SSI is limited to people with disabilities and older adults who have little or no income or resources, according to the SSA’s website.

The SSA issues electronic checks on the first day of the month. However, if the first falls on the weekend, then benefits are sent out on the Friday before the first.

Who will get two Social Security checks this month?
SSI beneficiaries will get two Social Security checks this July. The first went out on Wednesday, July 1. Per the administration’s website, the next time this will occur is in October.
This year, the most money an eligible individual can receive is $994, according to the administration’s website. An eligible individual who also has an eligible spouse can get $1,491. Meanwhile, an essential person can get up to $498.
