Inner stillness and human connection are emerging as the next big wellness trends Wellness is not limited anymore to physical fitness or a healthy diet. Nowadays, experts state that mental well-being also plays an equally significant role in ensuring a well-balanced lifestyle. Speaking about the changes in the perception of wellness, Sitender Sehrawat, founder of Antaha, has stated that nowadays inner stillness and real human interaction have become another major driver of well-being. As per the expert, people may become highly connected digitally in their daily life, but, at the same time, many of them still remain detached from themselves and the other people surrounding them, which makes the problem of emotional health one of the crucial aspects of today’s conversations regarding wellness.

Wellness is not only physical health

As per Sehrawat, in recent years, wellness has been considered only a condition of proper physical fitness. At the same time, he claims that the issue of mental and emotional well-being becomes more and more important, and people begin to realise that it also has a great impact on the quality of life.

    Need for inner stillness

The contemporary lifestyle does not give much opportunity for mental stillness, according to the founder of Antaha. Being occupied all day with constant notifications and information flow, people do not get a chance to stop and think about anything. He says that even the regular practice of inner silence may give the ability to become self-aware while getting a chance to face different challenges calmly.

Clarity becomes the result of the calm mind

The constantly distracted mind does not allow a person to make any thoughtful decision or to live in the moment. Sitender Sehrawat states that practicing pauses gives an opportunity to clear one’s mind and think about things more deeply and objectively. Instead of impulsive actions, a person gets a chance to react to certain situations more carefully and thoughtfully.

    Why is human interaction important?

Along with the inner stillness, the founder underlines the importance of true human relationships. Living in the era of digitalisation, people still face the issues of loneliness and emotional detachment. Online conversations cannot replace real interactions, as true human conversations remain crucial for the emotional health of people.

    Wellness develops due to relationships

In his opinion, wellness should not be considered something that concerns only the individual. In addition to the relationship with oneself, relationships with other people are also crucial for personal growth and development. People get additional support in difficult situations with the help of their families and friends.

A new path of the modern wellness movement

Looking ahead, he believes the future of wellness will include more balance in people’s lives rather than perfection. Along with healthy habits, such practices as mindfulness, emotional self-awareness, and real human interaction will become an important part of people’s daily routine.
