Hyundai says the programme supports its ‘Progress for Humanity’ vision and promotes inclusive innovation in India.
Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), in partnership with AssisTech Foundation (ATF), has launched Samarth UnnATi, an assistive technology (AT) scale-up programme that will provide ₹75 lakh in grant support to high-potential start-ups developing market-ready solutions for persons with disabilities.

The programme aims to strengthen India’s assistive technology ecosystem by supporting innovators with not only financial assistance but also mentorship, investor connect, market access and institutional partnerships to accelerate the commercialisation and adoption of their technologies.

According to HMIF, the initiative seeks to bridge the gap between innovation and large-scale deployment of assistive technologies at a time when global demand for such products is projected to reach 3.5 billion people by 2050.

The programme will also work closely with disability welfare institutions to improve access to assistive solutions and create a sustainable ecosystem for accessibility and inclusion.

The initiative is being launched under ‘Samarth by Hyundai’, the company’s flagship social inclusion programme, which focuses on empowering persons with disabilities through technology-led innovation and accessible mobility solutions.

Hyundai said the programme reflects its commitment to its global vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’, while supporting India’s growing innovation ecosystem in disability inclusion, social entrepreneurship and accessible technology.
