Seasoned Industry Professional Brings Knowledge and Empathy to Board

WILMINGTON, MA (July 20, 2026) – Ametros, the industry leader in professional administration and post-settlement medical care coordination, today announced the appointment of President Andrea Mills to the Kids’ Chance of America (KCOA) Board of Directors.

KCOA is a charitable workers’ compensation industry organization dedicated to providing college scholarships to the children of workers who have been seriously or fatally injured on the job. Mills’ appointment to the Board is a three-year commitment – a position designed to go beyond Kids’ Chance state chapter or corporate involvement to further strengthen the organization’s work and fulfill its purpose.

“We are very thoughtful and selective when choosing board members,” said KCOA CEO Chris Letsos. “In addition to being a seasoned professional in the workers’ compensation space and demonstrating past involvement with Kids’ Chance, prospective board members must exude a desire to create a nationwide community of committed donors, volunteers, and supporters who are stronger together.”

Letsos continued, “Andrea has a long, successful career in workers’ compensation. For the past nine years, she has held leadership positions at Ametros, an organization known for its empathic approach to post-settlement administration for injured workers. Prior to this appointment, she served on the KCOA Advisory Board, where she exemplified this approach in every decision she made. We are honored she has accepted our board of directors invitation, and we look forward to her future contributions.”

As a KCOA board member, Andrea will join a group of industry professionals committed to supporting Kids’ Chance state chapters through services and products that strengthen each chapter’s governance, finance, communications, fundraising, scholarship selection, and management abilities. The end goal is simple – raise more money and help more kids.

“I joined Ametros nearly a decade ago because I was drawn to the organization’s unique injured worker first approach. Compassion and empathy are truly the foundation of our business, and because of that, I’ve had the opportunity to personally hear and see how a catastrophic workplace injury affects the entire family,” said Mills. “It is a privilege to join the KCOA Board of Directors, where I will be able to lean into my passion for helping injured workers and their families more than ever before.”
