    • Initiative aims to promote early cancer detection and informed healthcare decisions.

Bhopal: In a significant step towards strengthening women’s health awareness, AIIMS Bhopal has partnered with The DEAR Foundation Switzerland to integrate the DearYou Women’s Health App of Swiss organization with its Cancer Awareness and Patient Empowerment (CAPE) Centre. The initiative aims to provide women with easy access to reliable, scientifically validated health information and encourage the early detection of breast cancer and other health conditions.

The free multilingual DearYou app offers expert-reviewed guidance on breast health, breast self-awareness, menstrual health, period tracking, emotional wellbeing, and healthy lifestyle practices. Equipped with text-to-speech support and offline accessibility, the app is especially beneficial for women with low literacy levels and those living in areas with limited internet connectivity. Under the initiative, patients, caregivers, and visitors to the CAPE Centre will be introduced to the app and encouraged to use it regularly.

AIIMS Bhopal Executive Director Prof. (Dr.) Madhabananda Kar said the collaboration reflects the institute’s commitment to empowering people through authentic health information alongside quality treatment. Dr. Vinay Kumar, Head of the Department of Surgical Oncology, emphasized that timely awareness remains the most effective tool in preventing breast cancer.
