Success is often perceived as the outcome of extraordinary talent, lucky breaks or life-changing opportunities. In reality, long-term growth is usually built on small, consistent actions repeated day after day. The habits you cultivate, the discipline you maintain and the choices you make every day can gradually shape your personal and professional journey. Entrepreneur, digital creator and author Ankur Warikoo recently shared an insightful video on Instagram, revealing the simple question he asked ChatGPT about becoming more successful—and the AI’s surprisingly practical response is worth exploring.

Ankur Warikoo revealed that he asked ChatGPT, ‘If I want to be more successful than 50% of the people in the world, then what behaviour, what skills, what habits should I focus on?’ In response, the AI generated a concise, bullet-point list of everyday practices that it believes can steadily improve a person’s chances of achieving long-term success.

Wake up at a consistent time

ChatGPT recommends waking up at the same time every day, regardless of the hour you choose. A consistent sleep schedule helps build discipline, improves productivity and creates a stable routine that supports other healthy habits.

    Stay physically active

Daily movement, whether it’s walking, exercising, cycling or practising yoga, is essential for maintaining physical and mental well-being. Regular activity boosts energy levels, improves focus and contributes to long-term health.

    Prioritise focused work

Instead of multitasking throughout the day, ChatGPT suggests dedicating two to four hours to uninterrupted, deep work. Focused effort often leads to better quality output and greater progress towards meaningful goals.

    Learn something every day

Spending 30 to 60 minutes learning a useful skill or gaining new knowledge can compound over time. Reading, taking an online course or developing a professional skill keeps your mind sharp and helps you stay adaptable.

    Eat a balanced diet

Good nutrition plays a key role in sustaining both physical health and mental performance. ChatGPT highlights the importance of maintaining a balanced diet to support energy, concentration and overall well-being.

    Invest your money

Rather than spending everything you earn, ChatGPT advises setting aside a portion of your income for investments. Developing this habit early can help build financial security and create wealth over the long run.

    Cut out obvious distractions

Reducing time spent on activities that add little value—such as excessive scrolling or other unproductive distractions—creates more room for learning, meaningful work and personal growth.

    Build strong relationships

Success isn’t just about career achievements. ChatGPT also emphasises nurturing meaningful relationships with family, friends and colleagues, as a strong support system contributes to emotional well-being and resilience.

Get at least seven hours of sleep

Adequate sleep is essential for recovery, memory, decision-making and productivity. ChatGPT recommends sleeping for at least 7 hours every night to perform at your best consistently.
According to Ankur Warikoo’s post, ChatGPT concluded that following these simple habits consistently can gradually help a person perform better than the average. It also pointed out that while people often search for complex formulas for success, real progress usually comes from doing ordinary things consistently—because, as Warikoo puts it, “success is hidden in the boring.”
