Who does the Social Security Admin pay first in June 2026?
- SSI beneficiaries: June 1
On Monday, June 1, SSI is to be issued to the 7.3 million recipients who claim the benefit.
A monthly payment for low-income, low-resource individuals who are over 65 or have a disability, SSI is administered by the SSA, but it differs from Social Security benefits as it is needs-based. Eligibility does not depend on a claimant’s work record.
When does Social Security’s three-Wednesdays cycle kick in for June?
Of the 71 million Americans who receive Social Security benefits, many will get their money on the second, third or fourth Wednesday in June, depending on their date of birth:
- Born on 1st-10th of any month: Wednesday, June 10
- Born on 11th-20th of any month: Wednesday, June 17
- Born on 21st-31st of any month: Wednesday, June 24
Important: If you claim Social Security benefits based on someone else’s employment history, the SSA uses the other person’s birthday.
What other payment runs are on the June schedule?
- Some long-term Social Security recipients: June 1
On Wednesday, June 3, the SSA is due to issue next month’s Social Security to recipients who began claiming the benefit before May 1997.
- Dual beneficiaries: June 1
On June 3, Social Security is also scheduled to go out to Americans who combine the program with SSI.

- Social Security retirement benefits: $2,026.41
- Social Security disability benefits: $1,493.20
- Social Security survivor benefits: $1,625.56
