A woman joins the residency program at the hospital where she once worked as a janitor.

Shay Taylor’s reaction upon learning she’s been accepted into a residency program at Yale School of Medicine is pure joy!

For 10 years, Shay worked as a janitor at Yale New Haven Hospital.

This hospital holds special significance in Shay’s life. Not only was she born there, but she also began working as a janitor at 18.

Now, she’s returning to the same hospital to become a doctor. Her motivation to pursue medicine came from caring for her mother during her illness.

Through years of persistence and hard work, Shay has turned that motivation into reality, and now, she is on the path to achieving even more milestones.

“I knew that I wanted to make a change. They can look at me and see themselves and feel safe,” said Shay.

Women who have shared a friendship for nearly five decades inspire others.

Diana Prince and Candace Eng have been best friends since 1977.

For 50 years, they have leaned on each other through life’s ups and downs. When Candace was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2025, Diana was her biggest supporter every step of the way.

Their unwavering bond proves the power of unconditional love and a steady presence in one’s life!

“We just see our friendship as just being, you know being a close friendship. We don’t realize it would touch so many lives, and we’re glad that it has because if we can help in any way, that’s what we want to do,” said Diana.

Community waste-processing facility provides sustainable fuel for restaurants amid gas shortage.

Many parts of India are facing a shortage of commercial LPG cylinders, prompting restaurants in Bangalore to turn to biogas produced from the city’s wet waste. Biomethane, a renewable natural gas, is generated entirely from this waste.

The Kasar Rasa plant in Koramangala is a waste management facility in Bangalore that processes 13,000 kg of the city’s wet waste daily, producing 300 kg of biogas each day.

This approach addresses three problems at once: the growing garbage crisis, fuel challenges, and sustainability concerns.

“While my fellow restaurant owners are really struggling with the LPG shortage crisis, the decision I made to switch to biogas is paying off massively today. We are able to operate just like we did before the crisis. We haven’t had to cut anything from our menu; our customers are getting the exact same service. That has been incredibly satisfying for us,” said K Rammurthy, Partner, Konark Group of Restaurants.

A FedEx driver builds a heartwarming friendship with a dog.

Phil Blaisdell works as a FedEx contract driver in New Hampshire, handling the delivery of heavy packages in challenging weather conditions.

However, his encounters with a friendly dog bring him the most joy during his shifts. A dog lover, Phil always carries treats with him, and an unexpected meeting with a Samoyed named Winter blossomed into a heartwarming friendship.

His moments with Winter have become the highlight of his day, and videos of their interactions are spreading happiness to people around the world.

“The relationship between Blaze and Winter has just been a lot of fun for everybody. It’s a nice thing to have out there for content in a world that maybe not everything is so positive,” said Winter’s human dad, Brian Belanger.
