The WKU TRIO organization will be teaming up with the Faculty and Staff Neurodiversity Alliance to present a Neurodiversity Awareness fair tomorrow at Centennial Mall.
WKU TRIO consists of multiple federally funded programs with the intent to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will feature demonstrations, games and challenges. The fair aims to open conversations about neurodiversity, build empathy and increase students’ knowledge on neurodiversity
This event will focus primarily on the experience of neurological differences such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
All WKU students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend. Local businesses are highly encouraged to get involved by hosting a booth at the event as well.
