    Kohima, March 30 (MExN): The Dream Team Kohima (TDTK) in collaboration with Social Welfare Department, Government of Nagaland has conducted Cross Country Run (9.9 km) for both men & women from BOC Kohima to Naga Heritage Village Kisama on March 28 last.

    The event, designed to Run to “End the Silence,” Run for Mental Health & Drug Free Nagaland, was flagged off by Nagaland’s social welfare advisor Wangpang Konyak.

    Addressing the participants, Wangpang Konyak said that the run was a movement to spread awareness on mental health, healthy life and promoting drug free life in the community.

    “To have a healthy life, we should have healthy mind and free from drugs,” the advisor said.

    He also urged upon everyone to be ambassador of spreading awareness and “Say no to Drugs and Yes to Life.”

    The Advisor said that Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio has launched Nagaland Community Wellbeing Initiative with an allocation of Rs 50 lakhs in Nagaland state Budget 2026-27.

    The programme will promote community engagement, mental wellbeing, and social cohesion across rural and urban areas.

    This will improve mental well being and positive thinking, he said.

    Limawabang Jaimr, secretary, Department of Social Welfare also graced the programme as the special guest. Tosheli Zhimomi, Director, Department of Social Welfare, Nagaland was also present at the programme. Earlier, greeting was shared by Nunese Sale, chairman TDTK. The programme also witnessed special performances by ZT Slingshot, Wati Katiry and Menangkokla Imchen.
