Bengaluru: In an age when constant connectivity is the norm and screens dominate daily life, The Times of India’s national initiative, Let’s D-Stress, positions mindful reading and conscious media habits as powerful tools to navigate the pressures of our digitally saturated world. As part of its on-ground series, ‘Let’s D-Stress Campus Conversations’, the initiative will engage students at MS Ramaiah Institute of Management (MSRIM) with a timely and much-needed conversation on digital well-being on Tuesday at the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium. The interactive session will feature Dr Eesha Sharma, associate professor of child and adolescent psychiatry at Nimhans, alongside RJ and content creator Shaayan Bhattacharya. Blending humour, real-life relatability, and expert insight, the session aims to help students recognise patterns of digital overuse and understand its impact on focus, sleep, and mental health. Through engaging activities and a quick self-assessment, participants will get a snapshot of their own digital habits — an important first step towards change. The session will also explore simple, practical ways to restore balance in an always-on world, encouraging students to adopt more mindful consumption habits and rediscover moments of clarity and calm. Welcoming the initiative, Dr Savitha Rani, professor and dean (in-charge), MSRIM, said, “This initiative by TOI will help students reclaim their time, restore focus and return to the rhythm of a life that is meant to be experienced.”
