The Walk In My Shoes Children’s Mental Health Awareness 5K Run/Walk and Community Resource Fair is an inspiring community event dedicated to raising awareness and support for children’s mental health.

Hosted by Change Me Foundation, this annual event brings together families, youth, educators, health professionals, and community organizations to shine a light on one of the most important issues facing our communities today: the mental health and emotional well-being of our children.

Children and teens across our communities are experiencing rising levels of stress, anxiety, trauma, and emotional challenges. Many families struggle to find resources, support systems, and guidance when it comes to mental health care. The Walk In My Shoes event was created to help break the stigma surrounding mental health while connecting families with organizations that can help.

This event is more than just a race. It is a movement to bring awareness, education, and community support around children’s mental health.

Participants of all ages are welcome to run or walk the 5K course, which is professionally timed and includes finisher medals for all participants and trophies for top finishers by age group.

In addition to the 5K run/walk, the event also includes a Community Resource Fair where attendees can connect with local organizations offering services such as:

    – Mental health counseling and behavioral health services
    – Youth development programs
    – Family support services
    – Health and wellness resources
    – Educational and community programs
    – Social services and advocacy organizations

This event creates a space where families can access helpful information, learn about local resources, and build connections that support healthy communities.

Whether you are a runner, walker, parent, educator, advocate, or community member, we invite you to come out and support this important cause.

    Event Highlights

    – Timed 5K Run/Walk
    – Finisher Medals for Participants
    – Age Group Awards and Trophies
