An additional 880 places will be added across Sheltered Workshops and Day Activity Centres by 2027 to better support persons with disabilities in their training and employment needs. More housing options will also be introduced under an independent living pilot at five rental flat sites, which will offer on-site coaching and community support. The Social and Family Development Ministry says further recommendations for the disability sector are expected later this year. Chloe Teo reports.
