If mental health is a national infrastructure, it must be built with strong foundations, clear standards and long-term sustainability, said MP Wan Rizal. Speaking in parliament on Wednesday (Mar 4), he asked for an update on the measurable improvements in early intervention, role and mandate of the Mental Health Office and plans to build a strong local core of professionals. He pointed out that mental health care must operate as one integrated system and wanted to know how workforce planning and training reforms will ensure stronger integration.
