The mental crisis is showing no signs of abating, said MP He Ting Ru. Speaking in parliament on Wednesday (Mar 4), she asked for an update on the government’s efforts and a firm commitment to fix timelines to regulate mental health professionals. Ms He stressed the need to work to do towards a clear vision to improve mental health. She sought clarification on the national mental health and well-being strategy to coordinate efforts across policy areas and sectors. She also wanted to know how the National Mental Health Office plans to work with ministries and agencies to engage Singaporeans on initiatives and plans. Ms He also stressed the need for a zero-tolerance approach to tobacco.
