Child’s Pose (Balasana): Child’s Pose gently stretches the lower back, hips, and thighs while encouraging deep, calming breaths. This restful posture activates the parasympathetic nervous system, helping reduce stress and anxiety, and creates a safe, grounding space for emotional release and inner calm.

Cat-Cow Pose (Marjaryasana-Bitilasana): The flowing movement between Cat and Cow postures massages the spine, improves circulation, and synchronizes breath with motion. This gentle sequence helps release tension, alleviates mental fatigue, and brings awareness to the present, making it effective for calming anxious thoughts.

Legs-Up-The-Wall Pose (Viparita Karani): Lying with legs elevated against a wall reduces stress, improves circulation, and relaxes the nervous system. Legs-Up-The-Wall Pose promotes deep relaxation, eases fatigue, and provides a gentle inversion that encourages emotional release, helping to soothe feelings of anxiety or sadness.

Standing Forward Fold (Uttanasana): Uttanasana stretches the hamstrings and spine while encouraging a head-down position, which has a calming effect on the nervous system. This inversion helps reduce tension, slow the heart rate, and encourages introspection, promoting relief from anxiety and mild depressive symptoms.

Bridge Pose (Setu Bandhasana): Bridge Pose strengthens the back, opens the chest, and stimulates the thyroid, which supports hormonal balance. By lifting the heart toward the sky, it encourages energy flow and optimism, reducing mental fatigue and helping ease feelings of low mood or stress.

Seated Forward Bend (Paschimottanasana): Paschimottanasana stretches the spine, hamstrings, and shoulders while encouraging slow, deep breathing. This calming posture helps quiet the mind, improve focus, and stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, making it an excellent pose for relieving anxiety and emotional tension.

Corpse Pose (Savasana): Savasana, the ultimate relaxation pose, allows complete surrender of body and mind. By lying still and focusing on breath, the nervous system shifts into a restorative state, reducing stress, calming racing thoughts, and promoting a profound sense of peace and mental clarity.

Legs-on-Chair Pose: This restorative pose combines gentle chest opening and leg elevation for deep relaxation. Supported by a chair or props, it helps release physical tension, soothes the nervous system, and encourages mindfulness, making it ideal for relieving both anxiety and low mood.
