WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Assistive technologies are critical for the success of farmers with disabilities and other functional limitations. As the average age of farmers increases, more producers can benefit from these tools. However, many people are unaware of the technologies or have little experience using them.

Purdue’s Indiana AgrAbility Project, in cooperation with Vincennes University and nonprofit partner Easterseals Crossroads, is sponsoring a full-day assistive technology expo on Feb. 17 to offer demonstrations and experiential opportunities to learn about the assistive technologies that are available for agriculture.

The expo will be held from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at the Vincennes University Agricultural Center, 4207 Purdue Road, in Vincennes. Admission is free but limited. Registration is required by Feb. 10. Visit agrability.info/at-expo to register.

Target audiences for this event include extension professionals, vocational rehabilitation counselors and their area supervisors, occupational therapists, physical therapists and AgrAbility staff members.
