Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 was held on February 6, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacting with students, parents and teachers across India, focusing on exam stress, mental well-being and stress-free learning ahead of board examinations.

New Delhi: The ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2026 was held on February 6, bringing together students, parents, and teachers from across the country for an interactive discussion on examinations, stress management, and holistic education.

The flagship annual initiative was led by Narendra Modi, who interacted with participants just weeks before major board examinations began.

Pariksha Pe Charcha once again emerged as one of the largest student outreach programmes in the world.

The 2026 edition witnessed participation from over four crore students, parents, and educators, highlighting its expanding reach and growing importance in India’s education landscape.

Students from Classes 6 to 12, along with teachers and parents, took part in the nationwide interaction.

During the February 6 session, the Prime Minister focused on reducing exam-related anxiety and encouraged students to approach examinations with confidence and clarity.

He emphasised that exams should be seen as a part of life rather than a measure of self-worth, while offering practical advice on time management, revision strategies, and maintaining focus during preparation.

A strong emphasis was placed on mental health and emotional well-being. Issues such as stress, peer pressure, and fear of failure were addressed, with guidance extended not only to students but also to parents and teachers, who play a critical role in shaping a supportive and pressure-free learning environment.

Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 was broadcast live across multiple platforms to ensure nationwide accessibility. The programme was telecast on Doordarshan channels and streamed live on digital platforms, including YouTube and social media.

Schools and educational institutions across the country organised collective viewing sessions, allowing students to participate together.

In addition to the main venue in New Delhi, the 2026 edition followed a multi-location format, with associated events held in different parts of the country.

This approach ensured greater inclusivity and representation, particularly for students from smaller towns and rural regions, who were able to actively engage with the programme.

Pariksha Pe Charcha formed part of the broader Exam Warriors initiative, inspired by the Prime Minister’s book of the same name. The initiative promoted stress-free education and encouraged students to focus on learning, curiosity and personal growth rather than fear of results.

Over the years, PPC evolved into a nationwide movement advocating a healthier and more balanced approach to education.

Students who registered for Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 were able to download digital participation certificates after the event. The certificates added to student engagement and served as a tangible reminder of their involvement in the programme.

Held just weeks before board examinations began later in February, Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 came at a critical time for students.

By addressing concerns directly and offering reassurance, the initiative helped set a positive tone for the examination season, reinforcing the message that academic success should go hand in hand with mental well-being and personal growth.
