AnglicareSA has launched ‘We’re There’, a new campaign for its Supported Independent Living service, developed in partnership with Adelaide creative agency Topbunk.

The campaign aims to give families, support networks and people with disability a clearer understanding of Supported Independent Living, moving the conversation beyond vacancies and housing to the everyday relationships, support and independence that sit behind the service.

Topbunk began the project with a research process involving AnglicareSA staff, support workers, customers and families.

From those conversations came a simple insight: families want to be there for their loved ones all the time, but they can’t always be. AnglicareSA can.

That insight became the campaign platform, ‘We’re There’.

The creative centres on everyday moments including cooking, art, bowling, shared activities and quiet support, showing what life can look like when the right support is in place.

Across the campaign, the words “We’re There” are physically integrated into each scene, appearing within walls, skies and other parts of the environment. More than a visual device, the idea forms a flexible campaign platform that can extend across photography, video, outdoor, radio, digital and other channels.

Says Alex Theel, Founder and Director, Topbunk: “We spent a lot of time talking with customers, families, support workers and staff before we put pen to paper. One thing kept coming through: families want to be there for their loved ones all the time, but they simply can’t be. That gave us ‘We’re There’. It isn’t really about a house or a service. It’s about the reassurance of knowing someone is there to support the person you care about when you can’t be.”

Says Abby Dunnicliff, Senior Manager, Partnership & Impact, AnglicareSA: “Topbunk’s approach was thoughtful, respectful, and inclusive from start to finish. They took the time to listen, understand, and ensure every person involved felt comfortable, valued, and seen.

“It’s not always easy to find partners who truly ‘get it,’ Alex and the team demonstrated exactly what inclusive practice should look like in action.”
