Actress Anne Curtis and culinary content creator Erwan Heussaff are encouraging Filipinos to adopt small, consistent lifestyle habits to improve long-term health.

The couple shared the message through a series of video collaborations with Manulife Philippines, where they discussed movement, diet and daily choices as factors that contribute to overall well-being, alongside the importance of balance and consistency.

“Heart disease is the top illness Filipinos are most worried about according to a recent Manulife’s Asia Care Survey,” Erwan said in the collaboration video.

“We all have a relative who had heart disease. We all know someone who struggles with diabetes. We see why. We know the risks, but the part that no one wants to hear is that we actually have a choice to make a difference,” he added.

Erwan said everyday behaviors, particularly around food and physical activity, can significantly influence long-term health outcomes.

He pointed to overconsumption of salt and processed food, as well as low intake of fruits and vegetables, as common risks linked to heart disease.

“There’s nothing wrong with enjoying food or indulging, but daily choices matter,” he said.

“Small and consistent actions like socializing and even just going for a walk compound and go a long way to improving heart health and overall well-being. You or your loved ones don’t have to be part of statistics,” Erwan continued.

Anne in a separate Instagram video said her view of health has shifted from focusing mainly on movement to a broader understanding of balance, mental well-being and daily habits.

“When I say the word ‘health,’ I often think first of movement. But lately, I’ve been thinking about something deeper,” Anne said.

“At the launch of ManulifeMOVE, I realized this shift: for Filipinos, health is no longer just about adding years to your life. It’s about adding quality to those years,” the actress added.

She said simple actions such as walking, eating lighter meals, and prioritizing mental health can contribute to sustainable well-being.

“MOVE is all about helping us make small, conscious choices that add up to a better life,” Anne said.

“Little things like eating lighter meals, going on walks, and prioritizing your mental health, can go a long way to finding everyday balance,” she added.

Manulife Philippines said the initiative reflects its broader focus on supporting health, wellness, and longevity across different life stages.

“Even small, consistent moves can make a meaningful difference to how we live, and how well we live, over time,” Sonali Verma, Chief Marketing Officer of Manulife Philippines, said.
