JACKSONVILLE, N.C. — Motorcyclists, car enthusiasts, and community members will come together on Saturday, April 11, 2026, for the 4th Annual “Be The One” Suicide Prevention Charity Ride, a multi-county, law-enforcement-escorted event supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention – North Carolina Chapter.

The ride begins at Mac Williams Middle School in Fayetteville, with registration opening at 7 a.m. and the ride departing at 8:30 a.m. Pickup points along the route, including stops in Selma and Dudley, allow riders from surrounding communities to join before heading toward Jacksonville for the final gathering.

Despite recent tornado damage to the Burton-Cowell American Legion Post 265 in Jacksonville, N.C. the adjacent Onslow County Fairgrounds remain fully operational and will host the ride’s conclusion. The event will feature a Car, Truck, Bike, and Jeep Show, along with a vendor fair, creating a family-friendly atmosphere to highlight suicide prevention awareness.

Event organizers emphasize the importance of community involvement in suicide prevention and the value of spreading awareness across the state. All proceeds from the ride and associated events benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention – NC Chapter.

    Becky Channell, Vendor/Food Truck – 910-478-6885 / rjchannell76@yahoo.com

This event represents an opportunity for area residents to engage in a statewide effort, raising both awareness and funds for suicide prevention while enjoying a day of community, vehicles, and camaraderie.
