People born through the 11th – 20th are paid on the third Wednesday, or April 15.
People born from 21st – 31st are paid in the fourth Wednesday, or April 22.
If a spouse is receiving benefits based on someone else’s work, the payment date is determined by the original Social Security recipient’s birthday, the agency said.

That schedule is consistent throughout the year. The payment schedule for Supplemental Security Income, or SSI, is subject to change, however. SSI is paid on the first of the month unless that date falls on a weekend or a holiday, when it defaults to the closest weekday.
Also, people who began drawing Social Security before May 1997 or receive both Social Security and SSI are on a different schedule, with SSI paid on the first and Social Security on the third of each month.
That will be April 1 and April 3 in 2026.
