The Government outlined its commitment to strengthening support for young people with diverse neurological conditions as part of a global awareness drive.

The Ministry of Youth, Social Development and Seniors said it will recognise Neurodiversity Celebration Week 2026, observed from March 16 to 20 under the theme “From Awareness to Action”.

A spokeswoman added: “The theme encourages individuals, organisations and communities to move beyond awareness and take practical steps that promote inclusion, accessibility and opportunity for neurodivergent individuals and their families.

“The ministry remains committed to strengthening programmes and services that support children and young people with diverse neurological profiles, and ensuring that they have access to safe, inclusive and enriching experiences.

“Through the Office of Youth Affairs youth programmes, community initiatives and partnerships, the ministry continues to expand opportunities that allow neurodivergent children to participate fully and confidently.”

The ministry highlighted its support for community organisations that provide specialised services for neurodivergent children, including a $30,000 grant to autism support and intervention charity Tomorrow’s Voices, and work in addressing the need for suitable camp programmes.
